REHACOP & REHACOG - Integrative Cognitive Remediation and Integrative Cognitive Remediation for persons with more severe deficits
REHACOP and REHACOG are evidence-based psychological therapies that improve cognitive or thinking skills such as attention, learning and memory, language, executive functions, problem solving, social cognition, and autonomy in life. They are paper-and-pencil integrative cognitive remediation therapy programs, delivered by a therapist, in which clients complete a range of abstract and real-life tasks to gain transferable skills to improve their brain health.
Administration can be to an individual or a group.
The programs were developed by experts in neuropsychological treatment and brain health. They are available in several languages: Spanish, French, English, Portuguese. They are highly structured, and training (in person and online) is available.

Are these programs right for me?
REHACOP and REHACOG promote effective cognitive and functional change in persons who have received them. No adverse effects have been identified. Scientific evidence has been obtained in patients with the diagnosis of psychosis, schizophrenia, Parkinson's Disease, and mild cognitive impairment.
These programs have been available since 2005 and successfully implemented in over 500 clinical settings internationally.
The duration of the program varies based on the frequency of use. We recommend 3 sessions per week.
What does a session involve?
The manuals contain very well-defined tasks with materials and instructions. The recommendation is to work in the predetermined order because the gains obtained for basic cognitive processes (i.e. attention, concentration) benefit performance and gains in higher cognitive processes (i.e. planning, problem solving).
During a session, clients work through the tasks together with their therapist. The therapist facilitates the acquisition of abilities which will be transferred to daily life.

How can I provide the RehacoP or RehacoG to my clients?
The programs can be administered to individuals or groups. There is scientific evidence of benefit in both formats. Our research publications contain full details about administration guidelines in case you need them. The therapist's manual also includes an introduction to help with implementation. In addition, all tasks include individual instructions for the therapist and the client. We recommend delivery of all the tasks offered in order as they are in each individual booklet since they are sequenced for a gradual increase in level of difficulty. However, the professional can use her/his best judgement with each client to adjust the order if needed.
Our team offers in-person and online training to therapists if needed.
